St. John's College Alumni

The April 2021 alumni banquet (postponed from October 2020) is cancelled due to limitations on the number of persons who can gather and in extreme consideration of the safety of our alumni.  Current plans are for a combined 2020/2021 alumni banquet on October 2, 2021 at the Northfield Center.  We will just have to make it bigger and better!  Mark your calendars!

Alumni board members needed

The alumni board is looking for graduates to join the board.  We are especially interested in graduates from the last 2-15 years but everyone is welcome.  The time commitment is minimal.  We have a meeting monthly.  The alumni banquet is the major event each year along with celebrating the graduates each semester with a luncheon meet and greet.

You don’t have to live in the Springfield area to be a member since technology allows us to meet remotely.  If you are interested in joining us, please contact Charlotte Bivens ( or Kris Maurer ( or Teresa Villaran (  Please consider supporting your alma mater and represent your class.

About us

St. John's Nursing Alumni Association members include graduates from the diploma school and the College of Nursing programs. The Alumni Association produces the ECHO, a newsletter with information about alumni, the College, and the Hospital Sisters of St. Francis, twice a year.

This group also sponsors several fundraising activities each year, such as the Alumni Raffle and the Phonathon, to raise funds for student scholarships, faculty development and projects that enhance or improve the student educational experience.

New board members are elected every other year.

Each year, the College joins with the Alumni Association to honor the 10 year, 25 year, and 50 year graduates at the annual Alumni Banquet.

Calling College of Nursing graduates to be class representatives

The Class Agent Program, designed to raise money for St. John's College, is a great way to get involved in a worthwhile effort. Class representatives are asked to sign a pre-written letter to be mailed to their classmates, explaining the need for scholarships and other strategic initiatives at the college and asking for their support by making a contribution. Class Agents help raise thousands of dollars for the College of Nursing each year.

Class Agents are still needed for the following St. John's College classes:
1953, 1955, 1957, 1958, 1960, 1966, 1975, 1981, 1987, 1990, 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995, 1997, 2002, 2003, 2005, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, and 2011.

If you are graduate of one of these classes and would like to serve as a class agent, please contact:
